Ordering your uniform

Getting Started

To place an order on our website, you need to create an account which is done by entering the details of your children together with their school and year group. We would recommend recording your child’s measurements on your account. Once you have done this, there are two easy methods for ordering your school uniform.

  • Shopping with measurements

    With this option you will be directed to the measurements page where you can confirm the measurements of your child. You will then be taken to the full uniform list of the school where you can browse each uniform item and amend the quantities required. Our i-Size system will then determine the best fit for your child.

  • Shopping without measurements

    With this option you will directed to the full uniform list of the school where you can browse each uniform item and select the sizes you wish to order.

Step by step guides

  • Step 1 - Measuring your child

    Tempted as you might be to skip this step, this is the most Important stage. Believe it or not, there is no such thing as a standard garment for a given age group; every manufacturer has its own template. In order to ensure our prices remain sensible we work with a wide range of suppliers, all of whom work to different sizes. The reason we ask you to measure the height, waist, chest and inside leg of your child is to ensure that you get a size that fits, rather than to be awkward or waste your time. In fact, it will probably save you time in the long run as you’ll receive the right size first time.

    Some parents want a perfect fit with little room for growth, others want items to last as long as possible and are prepared to turn up hems and sleeves themselves to make this happen. If you order the size relevant to your child’s body measurements then you will get a good fit.

  • Step 2 - Recording your child's measurements

    Enter details of your child in the My Children section of your Account. Here you can add and amend details of all of your children you wish to order uniform for.

    Against each child you can record Name, Date of Birth, Gender, School as well as School Year. You can also enter the name you wish to be used on personalised items such as name tapes and named bags.  By entering the School and School year allows us to navigate you to the correct school uniform section for our web site both when you are selecting the sizes or when you require us to size your order.

    Against each child you are also able to record each of the key measurements used to size the uniform for your child. Useful tip: if you do not wish to disclose the name of your child use an alias. We use the child profile to assist with sizing uniform only.

  • Step 3 - Know what you need to order

    School uniform lists are often quite daunting and it can be difficult to ascertain exactly which items are required for which age group. Our website and our Intelligent Sizing service outline which items are required for each year and gender for your school. Please see information below under Place your order.

    For your convenience, we offer a choice of 4 ways to place your order.

    • Our Website

      Our website services are designed to make this easier. To find your school's uniform, log into or create your account, select ‘I need help to size my order’ or ‘I know what sizes I want to order’. From here you can follow the selections to find the appropriate uniform for your child's year and gender. This will allow you to order the items you need if you know the sizes required.

      Simply browse and add your products to your basket. Once you have all the items you need you can then go to the checkout to process and pay for your order in a few simple steps.

    • I size

      If you do not know the sizes required, you can use our Intelligent sizing, or I-size service. This can be located by clicking on Intelligent sizing in the left hand navigation pane. Click on the I size logo to access this service. This service is useful If you are ordering a full uniform and/or you are unsure of the size to order. It enables you to set up a profile for your child which will include ACTUAL body measurements. According to the school your child is attending, their gender and their school year our system will present you with the list of all the uniform items required together with a recommended quantity (which you can change). Simply press the confirm button and leave the sizing to us.

      Please note this is a secure password protected facility and your child will need to be registered at a school we support to take advantage of this service.

    • Telephone

      Our lines are open for ordering Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, (excluding bank holidays) when our experienced team of school uniform advisers will be able to help you. Outside of this time please email us at info@perryuniform.co.uk.

    • Facsimile or Post

      You can download a quick order form from our Intelligent sizing website, or alternatively, we can email, post or fax one to you.

Additional Information

  • Stock Availability

    Stock levels can fluctuate through the year. Whilst we endeavour to have all items in stock at all times, unforeseen demands can mean that an item is temporarily out of stock, particularly in the busy back to school period at the end of August.

    When you order by telephone with our customer service team you will be advised of stock availability. If any items are temporarily out of stock you will be advised of an expected delivery date. We make every effort to carry enough stock to meet all orders, however, some styles will sell out faster than others. In the unlikely event of this happening our telephone team will always try to suggest some suitable alternatives. While you may provide your card payment details at the time of order WE DO NOT CHARGE your card until goods are despatched.

    We are currently unable to advise on stock availability on our website. Your order will be placed and processed. If an item is not available we will contact to you to advise when it is due into stock. While you may provide your card payment details for authorisation at the time of order WE DO NOT CHARGE your card until goods are despatched.

  • Payment

    We accept most major credit and debit cards including Mastercard, Maestro/Switch, Visa, Visa Delta, Electron and Solo as well as cheque and postal orders. Please note we do not charge credit cards until the items have been sent to you. If you pay by cheque your goods will not be sent until funds have cleared in our account which can take an additional 10 working days.

  • Delivery

    During the busy back to school period we try to achieve next day despatch though this is subject to stock availability. Stock levels fluctuate significantly between the last week of August and the first week of September - to be safe plan ahead.
